Santiago José Michel graduated as a lawyer from the Universidad Católica Argentina in 2005, having completed part of his secondary studies in Geneva, Switzerland, at the College Du Leman, which allowed him to be a fully bilingual lawyer, and additionally acquiring the French language.
He made his first steps as a lawyer in the Baker & McKenzie studio, joining Rivera & Asociados towards the end of 2006.
He specializes in Corporate Law, being the Partner in charge of the Corporate Law Department. As such, he has extensive experience in the matters that accompany the formation and operation of businesses in various industries, ranging from planning corporate structures and incorporation of companies, to the design of complex investment legal strategies. Additionally, he has extensive practice in the negotiation and drafting of all types of contracts.
He complements his experience in business law with a solid practice in various types of civil and commercial litigation, such as contractual disputes, corporate conflicts and claims of high complexity damages.
He is an active member of CEDEF (http://www.cedeflaw.org/) and author of articles on corporate law.
